DNA Presents Dynamic Neighbor Award
The West Palm Beach Downtown Neighborhood Association (WPB-DNA) announced the recipients of its second annual "Dynamic Neighbor Award," presented to outstanding and exemplary individuals and businesses who have served as integral forces in the revitalization of Downtown West Palm Beach. This year's recipients are a consortium of Downtown restaurant and nightlife visionaries - Cleve Mash, Rodney Mayo and Big Time Restaurant Group - for their collaborative efforts and investments on Clematis Street. Since the opening of their combined eight restaurants and nightspots, dozens of other businesses have successfully opened Downtown. Click HERE to watch WestPalmTV video of this event.
SO... You Think You Can Dance...
Last Wednesday night, January 13th, the Downtown Development Authority kicked off an event that is destined to become a symbol of hope and joy for the downtown residents in this time of economic and political turmoil. Banks may continue to fail, Ponzi schemes may persist, Republicans may unseat even more Democrats and yet this could become the single reason people will want to be in Downtown West Palm Beach. As that great cultural icon Arthur Murray once said, 'Put a little fun in your life. Try dancing'. West Palm Beach is definitely doing it!
Starting this Wednesday, January 27th, Ginger's Dance Party will occur every other Wednesday night between 7:00 and 10:00 at Roxy's on the second floor in the 10@2 Saloon. Drinks will be available at the cash bar, group lessons are offered from 7:00 to 8:00 for only $10 and open dancing will be free to everyone between 8:00 and 10:00.
This is not a ballroom event. It will be more of a nightclub mix including swing, hustle and anything else you may request. So dress comfortable, wear some shoes you can dance in and join us next Wednesday night. You don’t need a partner, just bring a good attitude because you may meet some new friends and you will certainly have a good time!
