I hope all of you are well and looking forward to the holiday season. Our last DNA Community Night, October 20 at Kona Grill, was a huge success with over 250 downtown residents attending. The food was delicious, and more importantly the camaraderie and relationships that downtown residents are developing makes living here even more enjoyable. We also recently held our quarterly luncheon meeting with the condo presidents and property managers to discuss relevant issues and listen to suggestions on ways to improve our downtown.
Your DNA continues to experience dramatic growth, with membership currently approaching 350. This represents an increase of over 400% during 2009. We plan to continue growing and remain a strong voice for all downtown residents on quality of life issues. We also encourage you to register to vote, if you haven't already and more importantly to exercise that right during city elections so that our elected officials know that downtown residents are interested in their policies and decisions.
2010 promises to be an exciting year. We have many wonderful things to look forward to including the completion of our beautiful new waterfront, several new businesses and restaurants, the continued removal of dilapidated buildings, the ongoing beautification projects taking place, and future social opportunities for us to get together..
We wish each of you a happy and healthy holiday season, and look forward to seeing you next year.
Best regards,
