2026 DNA-DMPU Resident Survey

The Downtown Neighborhood Association ("DNA") invites residents, property owners, business owners, employees, and visitors to share their views regarding the proposed Downtown Master Plan Update ("DMPU").

The DMPU could shape the future of Downtown West Palm Beach for decades. Proposed changes include allowing buildings up to 25 stories in certain areas, increasing development density, reducing minimum parking requirements for certain new developments by approximately 25%, and allowing developers to receive additional building height or density in exchange for providing public benefits, which may include workforce housing, mobility improvements, public open space, or other community amenities
Your responses will help the Downtown Neighborhood Association better understand community priorities and communicate our community's values, concerns, and ideas to the City of West Palm Beach, elected officials, and other stakeholders as the DMPU review process continues. The purpose of this survey is to gather balanced community feedback regarding both the opportunities and challenges presented by the proposed DMPU. Estimated completion time: 5 minutes.

Why Your Input Matters:

The proposed DMPU could influence many aspects of downtown life, including:

  • Traffic and mobility
  • Parking
  • Building height and density
  • Infrastructure improvements
  • Parks and public spaces
  • Pedestrian and bicycle safety
  • Noise
  • The character and livability of our downtown neighborhood

Whether you support the proposed changes or have concerns, we want to hear from you.

About the Survey

  • Takes approximately 2 minutes to complete.
  • Responses will be reviewed by the DNA Board, shared with members and used to help guide our discussions with City leaders and our participation in the resident advisory process.

Our goal is simple: to ensure that resident voices are heard and that future decisions reflect the priorities of the residents.

The more responses we gather, the louder our voice. Please share this with friends, neighbors, and fellow residents — every opinion counts.

Background & Next Steps:

If you’d like to share your thoughts directly with City leadership, you’re welcome to reach out to the Mayor or Commissioners individually (due to Florida’s Sunshine Laws, group emails should be avoided for matters that may come to a vote).
