We have an important update regarding the Marina Project that requires your immediate attention. The preliminary results of the DNA Marina Survey are in, and over 700 individuals have participated so far, overwhelmingly against the new marina.
To make our voices heard and initiate advocacy steps, the Downtown Neighborhood Association (DNA) has taken an official stand on the issue.
WE PETITION THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH TO CEASE NEGOTIATIONS FOR A COMMERCIAL MARINA DEVELOPMENT ON THE DOWNTOWN WATERFRONT. THE CITY MUST ALWAYS ENSURE BROAD PUBLIC SUPPORT BEFORE NEGOTIATING COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENTS ON THE DOWNTOWN WATERFRONT PARK, OR ANY OTHER PUBLIC PARK.
We need your support now more than ever. The first crucial step is to gather as many signatures as possible on our petition, demonstrating the widespread opposition to the Marina Project.
Please take just one minute of your time to sign the petition by visiting the following link: Waterfront Petition. We are aiming for 5000 signatures to ensure our message resonates with the City Commission.
By signing the petition, you will join a growing community dedicated to preserving the integrity and beauty of our downtown area. Your support is vital in this endeavor. Additionally, we encourage you to share the petition with your friends, family, and colleagues who share our concerns, as together we can amplify our impact.
While the survey is still open and we anticipate receiving more responses, these preliminary results provide a compelling snapshot of the community's overwhelming support to stop the Marina Project.
